It’s often described as feeling similar to a rubber band snap or the original tattooing process. Discomfort varies depending on individual pain tolerance, tattoo location, and size. We use a cooling machine to blow cold air directly onto the skin before during and after treatment to help naturally numb the skin.
Most tattoos require multiple sessions this could be from as little as 2 to over 12+, spaced minimum 6–8 weeks apart. The number depends on ink type, client health, ink depth, age, colour, and your skin type. Most dark tattoos won't show noticeable fade after the first couple sessions as only the top layers of the tattoo are being targeted.
We cannot give an exact estimate on how many sessions.
We use high-spec laser technology that targets a broad range of colours, including difficult shades like blues and greens. Some colours may take longer to fade.
There is risk to remove colours that have been mixed with white which can slow down the treatment process.
When aftercare is followed, the risk of scarring is lower. We assess your skin type and medical history to ensure safe treatment. If there is previous deep scarring beneath the surface not visible then this may rise to the surface throughout the treatment. Most common side effects include redness, swelling and minor blistering. The risk of any Hyper or Hypo pigmentation is increased with sun exposure after treatment.
Before: Avoid sun exposure, tanning products, or active skin treatments before your session.
Afterward: Keep the area clean and protected. No sun exposure and do not soak your tattoo. We provide information sheets below for download.
